Another great question for the ladies(getting cheated on)?

I was with a girl who broke up with me a couple months ago. We still talk . I found it interesting when we were together and prior because we were friends first that on a couple of random occions she spoke of an ex she was with for 11 years that cheated on her. Recently she brought it up again to me. I guess what I'm trying to ask....if you have been cheated on, how does that affect you in future relationships? What kind of lasting affect does it have on you. Personally never experienced it but I think it does something, I just want to hear what exactly goes through a woman's mind after she experiences that kind of betrayal.
