Creative (and somewhat political) minds please help me!?

I have to do a project regarding press censorship/suppression and I need to make up a story and write a "multi-genre" project about it. I'm asking you to give me the basis of a story that I can expand on and write six pages on. All i can think of so far is something like: a high-ranking political officer tries to censor (with kickbacks/bribes/general press suppression) newspapers from publishing something bad the government did, like some sort of scandal. A real life parallel would be Nixon and the Watergate scandal. I don't know...please try to help, I need a story about press censorship, a fictional story about press censorship. thank you.
