I am using dial up modem connection. My internet speed is 33.6 kb/s. I am using AVG anti virus freeware.?

Update manager of AVG shows 36.2 MB data remaining to update. But it will take about 4-5 hours time to download. It is not possible for me to download this much at a stretch. Is there any alternative to download a fraction and then rest------
