I am a U.S. citizen studying in Paris next semester, and I think they may have made a mistake on my visa?

I am going to Paris on January 11th, 2008. For some reason, the validity date on my French Visa says, Feb 11-Aug 11, 2008. It is a +1 Transit Schengen visa. I don't know if this is a typo or if the dates are supposed to be like that. I also can't contact the French Consulate right now because they are closed. Does anyone know if it will be a problem? Thanks.
