How can our school reduce its carbon footprint?

Your school could probably save some energy that’s used for heat and airconditioning. That doesn’t mean the student’s will need to freeze in the winter in sweat in summer. But often the airconditioning is turned up higher than necessary, how about just opening the windows instead? And turn the heating off when it’s not needed (like at night or on weekends) And you don’t need that much energy for the heat if the building is well-insulated. Also, you the school could try to use certain kinds of light bulbs that need less energy. Some energy could probably be saved by turning off the computers in school when nobody is using them. Some schools have solar plants on the roof. That is expensive at first, but it saves not only energy but also a lot of money. The school can also do a lot by teaching the kids how they can save energy at home.
