Is it possible I have a hairline fracture in my foot? ?

I was cleaning my room and dropped a stack of books on my foot, they weighed around 12-13lbs. I then walked on my foot around the mall and noticed that it was quite painfull. When I got home and looked at it, it was swollen and hurt to touch and walk on or even reposition while sitting and I have also noticed some popping when I walk along with the pain. Is it fractured and should i go to the ER? My parents don't want to take me, but i don't want to screw up my foot cuz i am on a damce team. I've never broken anything before. Sorry this is so long.
